wednesday newstrip

The Ohio primary has become a battle for the soul of the Republican Party since a Chinese official put forward a novel plan for Woody Island, a tiny, tropical, & very much contested speck in the South China Sea ∙ chaos reigned on the streets of our major cities overnight after Federal MP Clive Palmer refused to give any guarantees about the future of 550 employees at his north Queensland nickel refinery ∙ U.S. Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump & his partner, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, can still enjoy the Murray River this long weekend, despite the blue-green algae outbreak ∙ Sen. Marco Rubio has arrived home for repairs after running aground in Antarctica, railing against 'those stupid people who developed tools with which to slice & mash their food, meaning our ancestors needed to chew much less.'
